how to go to terminal 4 of madrid barajas airport by train,metro or bus:

The Barajas airport is located at 13 kilometers from downtown Madrid.It is Spain's main point of entrance and departure.

You can get to the airport from downtown Madrid using any of the following means of transportation:

Terminal 1, 2, 3: -METRO LINE 8: 1 Euro - BUS LINE 200 (To avenida de America) 2,50 Euros: -TAXI: 20-22 Euros

Terminal 4: -METRO LINE 8: 1 Euro Be carefull: If you go to T4, you have two options:

- Get off at the Barajas Pueblo station (after the Airport station) and use the EMT line 201 (1 Euro) that connects to T4.

- Get off at the Airport station and proceed to the pavements either outside the departures level of T2. Then take the shuttle bus (free) linking terminals T1 and T2 to the new T4.

- BUS LINE 200 (To avenida de America) 2,50 Euros -TAXI: 20-22 Euros

You will arrive at Chamartin or Atocha train station.

Chamatin is the old station, mainly for trains coming for the north of Spain.
Metro line 10

Atocha is the new one (1992) very beautifull with artificial garden inside. Mainly for trains coming from south and AVE (fast Spanish train to Sevilla)

go to madrid by bus

The mainly bus station is Mendez Alvaro (Metro line 6) located in the south of the city, at one train stop from Atocha train station.

Be careful! Not all the busses go or arrive from this bus station. (For example, some leave from the bus station of Avenida de America (San Sebastián, Bilbao, Barcelona...) o from the bus station of Conde casal (Valencia, Salamanca…)
