madrid tapas --- pub crawl madrid

bars in madrid --- tea house madrid

madrid tapas and tortilla recepes:

Bars around plaza Santa Ana and plaza Mayor are old-school bars where you can pick at plates of tortilla, olives and "patatas bravas" (fried potatoes with special spicy red dressing). For example:

España Cañi, (Plaza del Ángel, Metro Sol)

Located close to Plaza Santa Ana, this is a very good and cheap place to enjoy tapas. International ambiance, little bar full of people during the week end, where it is possible to enjoy sweet, red or white wine for 1,5 Euros, sangria for 2 Euros, and various tapas (tortilla, cheese…) for less that 2 Euros!

Cervecería Santa Ana (Plaza Santa Ana Metro Sol)

Located in the Plaza Santa Ana, surely the cheapest bar of the plaza. During the summer they have a terraza which allows you having a drink while watching people pass.
